In remembrance of "Magic Mick" Rock 'N Roll Star

As a tribute to Mick and his love of Rock & Roll, a world class jam session is in the plans for later this summer. This is a call to all Mick's fellow musicians who would like to be part of this celebration. Please contact: Bill Sterner at 724-263-6926. And for those of you that just enjoyed watching Mick perform, check the local papers for details of this event or call the contact number above. Please come one and all and enjoy once again the music that Mick made Magic...

The following is from Mick's Obituary:

His hobbies included fishing, hunting and motorcycles, but his heart belonged to rock and roll right from the beginning. Mick was inspired by the music and easily mastered the guitar and blues harp. As a musician and a singer, over the years Magic Mick played with many rock and roll bands. His music career began in the early 70's when he played with "Black Jack Mulligan." Mick shared his talent by giving guitar lessons to young and old alike. Many of his former students will remember Mick every time their fingers touch the guitar strings. Mick was fun loving, kind and generous with everyone he met. Wherever he played, Mick filled the room with the spirit of rock and roll. Mick was Magic. - courtesy of the Tribune Review

"Magic Mick" entertained (DJ) at my brother Bob's wedding at the Belle Vernon, Pa Holiday Inn. Bob and Mick were friends from way back and played music together. Mick had many friends and there are many stories to tell. We will never forget him.

I was asked to sing with Mick's band several years ago - "Shade's of Time".  Mick is on the left.
