Christmas is about sharing God's Love. A few years ago I met a man whose name was Albert Lexie. I knew nothing of him except his name. Little did I know at that time what a celebrity he was soon to become. For years too many to mention, Albert has shined shoes at Children's Hospital - for a $ 2.00 fee - you can get your shoes shined on or off your feet. Many Doctors and Employees can be seen on any given day sitting in a meeting or their offices in their stocking feet. This service is nice enough but the best part is that Albert donates all of his tips to the Free Care Fund - helping children get the best possible care when their parents can't afford to pay.
God has really blessed Albert's Ministry and he has donated over $100,000 thus far. We each have gifts and talents God has given us - what we do with them is up to each of us. Albert surely uses his to do Ministry. Only God knows how many lives have been blessed and touched by Albert. His face and smile tells all of his relationship with his Best Friend and Savior Jesus Christ. Albert calls the children " Albert's Kid's " and he loves each and every one. He delivers gifts to them and I'm sure he shares God's Love with them and their family.
Albert rides the bus two hours twice a week very early and late in the afternoon to get there and get back to Monessen where he lives. Albert had become a celebrity by being interviewed by many local news stations, radio stations, appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show with Danny Glover's show "Courage". The appearances and awards go on and on. Albert - we are very proud to know you and for the fine Christian example you are. How unselfishly you portray Christ.
Peter 4:11 says - If any man Minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth. Galations says - as we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men. Thank you Albert for all you do for your community and Lord and Savior. We Love You !!
